I managed to set this month's trip to Shelton to fall on Mother's birthday, so she got to have all her sons there this year.  She did, I think, wish for the grandsons. Maybe next year....

The best part about being in the NE is the pizza. There seems to be a little shop on every block that makes just lovely NY style pizza - not that stuff from Chicago but real pizza.  Across from Corporate is this little place, a 2 person shop, no seating, that sells it by the slice.  Hot, just greasy enough, with a crispy crust. And as one of my commenters mentioned, it is run by Greeks - just like the diner next door - and has gyros too. Of course, you can also get seafood pizza and pizza blanca too.
