Fly Fishing, Castle Rock, Estes Park

Friday afternoon after the posters, the boys and I headed out to the Arkansas to try some dry fly fishing. Everyone got lots of hits but we only landed one fish. The required barbless hooks were a pain. Ben almost landed a big one - he dropped his rod tip and it fell off 2 feet from where I could have netted it.

Saturday after the talks we drove over to Castle Rock for the annual AList BBQ.  Doc was cooking lamb and we couldn't let him do it alone, especiallt since he was using the caja china. The new grill we made below and the sheet of Al we cut for a griddle worked great.

Wim, our favorite Belgian, gave Noah a lesson in push hands.

Sunday we drove over to Estes Park. A little fishing at the Big Thompson River, a walk around downtown, and Ben's first taste of sushi. We plan on spending Tuesday in the National Park but tommorrow I'm off to Denver for a DMA class at the Dental School.
