The gene pool needs chlorine
Seen this article? Despite my natural tendency to side with the bears, I found this interesting:
"Once a bear becomes a nuisance, California residents can request a depredation permit to have it killed, although that creates new risks. Recently one homeowner found his bear trap sabotaged and signs posted with his name, phone number and the appellation “bear killer.”
Hmmm. Seems to me that maybe the local PETA office should be the starting point of the investigation as that sounds like harressment to me. Of course, it is California so they'd rather have a kid eaten than a bear killed. A 400 pound pedator in the house could be a problem - of course here that's call a rug. A hat tip to the dread Instapundit, who also links to a damned good article asking "what sort of moron wants to be prey?" Working on a college campus, I can introduce you to some.
