Seattle and back
Well, I flew up to Seattle on Wednesday and had lunch with Aaron and Vanessa, a great young couple I know at Fort Lewis. I visited the University and some customers who make reinforced wood products. That got me downtown so I could visit the Legacy and have dinner at Le Pichet. (I had the smoked lamb and berry sausage to Noah's dismay.) It's got to have the best food in the Seattle area in my humble opinion. Afterwards, I got some fresh salmon lox and did the "stand in the water and call some poor landlocked friend eating fish" thing. I was planning on trying to find Wendell or run over to Lawrence's dojo but my salesman for the area ended up in the hospital and things got a bit hectic. Maybe next time...
Surprisingly on the way out, I had a pulled pork sandwich at the Safari Lounge at Sea Tac Airport and it was amazingly good. Not just for some place out of the south, but good... Actually better than the chowder. Who would have guessed?

Airports are weird. I had the best espresso of my entire US existence at John Wayne airport, a little Austro-German coffee house that since then went under and they opened a bar in its stead ::sob:: It was perfect. We also had an amazing crabcake at Norfolk, VA Airport with Russ (granted, that restaurant was an offshoot of what was reputedly the best one in downtown). I don't think that one is there anymore either.
