I turned 52 today and honestly can't think of a reason why we are celebrating the fact. The best way to handle a birthday is the same way Victorians handled that relative with the interesting occupation (Editor: I guess today that would be a journalist, no?) which was to pretend it didn't exist. 

I did get the ornamental lathe kit so I have something to weld together. And a chop (see left)...so it wasn't all bad..
