Seattle and Sunshine?

I flew into Portland Tuesday to play at my old job and visited a semiconductor company there before driving up to Seattle.  The day was amazingly sunny and mild. We got in late and spent the next day visiting aerospace companies before heading downtown for dinner.

We got there just at dusk and saw the ferry coming in.

Dinner was at my favorite North American place on first street. I read a book on sausage making the owner had a recipe in and was surprised to find his café in the place of a old Russian restaurant that served the French-Russian style of food favored by the Tsars. Dinner was the preserved meats platter, with pates and home ham, sausage and smoked tongue, deep-fried pork confit, hanger steak with truffle-parsley creme sauce, and frites. Dessert was a cheese tart and coffee. Mike (above) refused to let me take pictures of the food.

The next two days were equally lovely. The Lake Union area and the area near the Space Needle are being renovated and a lot of small pharmaceutical forms have moved in.  The shot above and below are from the offices of one. They joked that their staff had views bank managers used to fight for. I worked late enough I didn't have time to either call Kathy or to go back to Le Pichet. So we "settled" for Ivar's.

The next morning we did a couple of more calls and then I flew home. A few things were a bit different than I expected so I think we need to talk to Noah about this.

UPDATE:

Le Pichet's menu is here and yes, I also went to the Legacy and added this to my Northwest style tie collection.
