Porgy and Bess & the Old Warsaw

Sunday afternoon, the goddess and I went to Porgy and Bess at the Dallas Opera. After real nightmare of traffic and parking as a car show was also at Fair Park, we turned up 30 minutes to find out the Opera had delay the start of the show and was seating you wherever they could. So we only missed the overture and Porgy's opening bit. We got there for the craps game and the murder by baling hook...

Afterwards, we went to dinner at the Old Warsaw on Maple Street, in the Triangle. The goddess had the lobster bisque, the lobster tart, dover sole with roasted veggies, and a chocolate souffee.  Doesn't she look happy?

I had a brie mushroom soup, the goose liver, the roasted lamb - blue, and fresh berries with creme. For Doc, here's a picture of the best goose liver I've had in years.

The Old Warsaw features a pianist and violinist, the latter who kept coming over and playing torrid love songs for her. The rose was a nice touch too. Lovely place. Definitely worth a visit when you come to Dallas.
