The rest of the UK Trip
The trip has been very busy, not helped by my Ethics and Business Law professor adding problems to the homework randomly throughout the week. I really should call it the PC Indoctrination and Fantasy class as the authors of the book seem to buy ever PC cliché in the world and they want to share...<grumble>

Two of the best things about being here are the English breakfasts and the Indian food. Years ago, I was warned that the only meal I should eat in the UK was breakfast as everything else was un-eatable. While that is no longer true, English breakfasts are still a thing of beauty.

Indian food is still great in the UK, although the difference between it and the US has decreased over the years. Some of that is due to better Indian food in the US and some due to the fact most Indian restaurants are really owned by Bangladeshi immigrants. Kinda like Greek places in the US and Lebanese - close but not exactly the same. Having had "curry" for the last five meals in the UK, I can say it is still very very good. I had a grilled duck breast and lamb tikka that were very nice near my hotel.

The next night Sharon took me to Windsor, which is dominated by the Castle. We drove by the the Coldstream Guards' Barracks and across what used to be the Queen's private hunting area, now houses.

The Silk Route in Windsor is reputed to have excellent food and having tried the tandori lamb and cumin potatoes, I'd agree. The potatoes are made like the goddess's rosemary potatoes so we'll have to try this at home.

And of course, you can't skip the beer. Or to be more precise, the beers, bitters, porters, ales, lagers, ciders, perry, and stouts. You got to love a country that has this many options in brewed drinks.
I got home late Friday and have been jet lagged since.
