Small things make me happy...

Like finishing my anvil stand, a new hammer from Jackpine Forge, and getting out to shoot the new CMP Garand M1A. It's cheaper than therapy...

Actually, I just need to post a photo of the latest CMP Garand for Steve, but it was an excuse to run to Sanger. This week of catching up on technical writing is necessary but painful.

Yes, the forward weight makes the very controllable for pushing the metal. This one is 3.5. I have been using 2.25 and wanted something heavier. I'll probably spring for a 6-8 pound sledge in the fall.

Didn't know you were a Garand Guy, I have a couple I picked up my self, as well as a couple of M1 Carbines. We need to get together sometime and go shooting. Lots of Fun!

We have a few around here from the CMP but no M1 carbines. I wish they took mags instead of the blocs but I love the way even an old one shoots.  I'm seriously considering a Springfield M1 Scout for the next toy.

We should. Especially as none of us will be at the BBQ this year.
