To Wales and Back

Friday, the company's cafeteria serves a full English breakfast and so, for Ben, here it is:

Stuff when reasonably well at work and I headed off by train to Cardiff to meet Alicia and Charlie, who I know from long discussions on the net.

The ride out was pretty and from Cardiff, we drove to Borth. Stopping at a local inn, we had luch with a nice local beer. The pork pie is below and admired the badger on the wall. Other badgers were seen "sunbathing" along the road as we drove down.

A lovely sunset over the bay made the sea look almost silver as we drove along the coast to Alicia's house.

Staying with Alicia, I had the most amazing view of the dome bog and mountains out my window.

We went down at low tide to look at the buried trees that are found in the peat and sand, over to Abyswith, and then back to their place.

Besides a lovely roast lamb for my birthday, they fed me another of those amazing english breakfasts with the best black pudding

I've had yet.  Then they took me to the little train station in Borth and sent me back to Gerrards Cross.

I transferred lines in Birmingham and got to walk across the center of town to the other station. It's cold. I've lost my resistance to the temperature living in Texas. Tommorrow I'm off to King's College and hopefully the west end of London for Chinese food.
