London and the National Gallery

I ran into London today to visit a professor at King's College we are working with. I took the train down and hopped the tube to Waterloo station, about a block away. It took about 45 minutes and I got to have breakfast (Cornish Pastries with bacon and blue cheese or steak, potatoe and peas) on the way.

Our afternoon meeting failed so I ran by the National Gallery to see the Rubin's Exhibit and the Sisley one on England and Wales. Rubin was, as expected, lovely and I spent a lot of time sitting and enjoying some favorites.(Paris was an idiot.)  Sisley, an impressionist I was unaware of, was a delight. Wonderful pictures of the countryside that turned into "random" strokes as you got too close. Sadly they got very hostile if you took pictures anywhere but the entry way. Underneath is looking at Nelson from the porch.
