Polychar in Rouen Day 3

Noah gave his talk this afternoon and did quite well. After the grilling Dr. ZBrostow gave him in his practice session last night, I would of been suprised if it was otherwise. he had about 50 people there and got a fair number of questions. I only had to rescue him from the Europen terminology at times - capsule instead of pan and similar things.

Afterwards, we went to the official banquet that was held in the Musee de l'Arts in downtown Rouen. There was a nice little tour first and then a cocktail dinner where we got to mingle with other scientists. Noah spend some time talking to people on his own and one person actually asked if his thesis was going to be on photo-degradation studies! Since no one had introduced him as a high school student, he was assumed to be either a undergraduate or masters students. He liked that especially as it allowed him to chat up the college aged girls...

Shots from the tour follow. The Monets were beautiful and the flags shown below looks like a mess of marks if you are within 5 feet of it. The image only clears at longer distances...
