Catching up

Well, it's been a hectic week with the BBQ, a trip to Shelton for Business, dinner with Gerry while there, and Finance class on Saturday. For those who missed it, the BBQ looked like this:

The bulgogi wasn't done yet but above from left is flat bread, sous vide lamb, sausage and venison jambalya, and mesquite smoked brisket. Recipes will be posted next week after my Finance exam.

Other stuff I should comment on this week is the twin horrors of the modern approach to religion as seen in the Tobin-Kennedy mess and the shameful emails on Global warming. The latter shows basically that the foundational principles of how modern science works are very very shaky; refusal to release original data, suppressing papers, etc. and the best part is the denial that it is wrong because the cause demands it. I liked the "trick" too - I've never heard that term used except in a derogatory sense - like fudging the data, I can think of no positive way to spin that.<sigh>
