Ben's turn: Honorable mention in the NCTC's Jerry Simpson Poetry Contest
and like with his brother, we had to hear from the school as he forgot to tell us. All that Kipling when he was little paid off I guess.
The Four Horsemen
by Ben Menard
On the pale horse he rides
Over land and sea
And they call him Death
For he is the end of every mortal thing
On the red horse he rides
On the land and sea
And they call him War
For he kills every mortal king
On a white horse he rides
Through land and sea
And they call him Conquest
For he will conquer every mortal being
On the black horse he rides
In the land and sea
And they call him Famine
For he will consume every living thing
On their horse ride the four
Through every land and sea
For they are
The destruction of every mortal thing
UPDATE 4-29-10: Ben swears he didn't know until the day we were told. That is his side of the story and he's standing by it.
