Malaysia Day 3: Training at the Office
After a sales meeting in the office, we went out together for Japanese food as Moromoto-san was missing it. It was in this huge mall where there were a ton of US fast food joints: McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, and even Popeye's. Scary.

Between he and Dr. Teo speaking Japanese, we got a ton of attention. The fish was very fresh and very different from what I had before, the octopi was crunchy, and there was a Malay flair added in hot peppers and sauces.

During dinner, the talk turned to positions at the table. I was in the North, and we got into this discussion of the meaning of north in the masonic traditions versus feng shui. We were discussing the possible reasons this beliefs came about and moved to relationships in buildings, water, bathroom doors, etc. Some one asked me if I knew the ba gua and I asked back did they mean the trigrams or the martial art. That lead to a discussion of Chinese fortune telling, ending with PK (our local Chinese-Malaysian specialist) telling me "Kevin, are you sure you are not Chinese?" Before I could respond, Dr. Wang commented " or is his wife?." So I guess I have learned a few things to prepare for our Mandarin overlords.
