I don't see Amsterdam

We went over to the Het Instruments "Sound of Technology" Trade Show today - I spent the day mostly in our booth talking to customers - and I had hope to see Amsterdam as its been 20 years. Never got there - parking was miles away and with most of the Dutch fluent in English I was busy. I did get to see "animal freindly meat" which surprisingly is not tofu. It was bacon, which doesn't seem friendly to the pig to me.

It turns out it is what we would call free-range meat. They also had a stand selling Van Dubbik sandwiches and bitternballes - deep fried balls of beef fat with scraps of meat. I'm not sure if it's really a local treat or something they feed to tourists.  it tastes exactly like they sound like they would taste. And they come with mayo!

Archi took us out the back way so I did get to see miles of countryside but it was too dark and rainy for any photos, even of de otter swim club. Dinner was veal tartare with quail egg, foie gras, and truffles followed by a crunchy salad. I could become a cow if this was standard salad - greens, nuts, dried fruit, bacon, various meats and 4 kinds of cheese mixed into fresh greens. With the drive, we got in late and so I just did a tabata set of squats in the room.

Photos will be added later.
