The casting furnace saga continues
We really need a sheet metal brake: shaping the back for the casting furnace from sheet with a hammer and a 2X4 took forever. I welded that in today and while my welding still is pretty crappy - I don't estimate for disortion well either - it's solid and ready to be lined with thermal blanket tomorrow. Hopefully we can do the first firing later tomorrow or on Saturday and then coat it with the IR100. I also welded up a swage block stand so we stop tripping over it.

We added cross bars on the bottom of the swage stand later to hold a shelf. Now all we need is some storage for hammers and tongs so I can get them out of my coal bucket. Maybe hanging from the forge? I'm hoping to fix that tomorrow along with visit Ed to use his brake to make a door and also lay out the press parts. I may not be forging on vacation, but my shop is getting set up.
