It's raining in London

Ben and I got in late last night and today decided to run into London for a bit. It turns out that the whole rail line Gerrards Cross is on was closed for work and we ended up riding a bus over to West Rusilip to pick up the central line. On a clear day, it would have been a nice ride as some of the country side and buildings like St Giles would be picturesque but in the rain, it was just dreary.

We wander down to Trafalgar Square so we could go to the National Gallery and worked our way around the large St. Patrick's Day celebration in the middle. (With rock bands rather then Celtic? - at least while we were there.

After several hours at the Gallery, we headed back to Gerrards Cross - an hour and a half trip with the shuttle bus - and after shedding the wet clothes, went out for dinner at the Good Life, a local Chinese restaurant. By then it was Sunday and being dry and fed, Ben finally perked up.
